Jew in the City

In this COVID-shot project, Patchwork Piñata highlights the work of Allison Josephs. Her non-profit, Jew in the City, is dedicated to challenging the negative perspectives of Orthodox Jews, mainly by focusing on the media’s portrayal of the community and its members. Through a mixed-media approach, our team utilized archival footage, multi-camera interviews, and Zoom interviews with experts in the field such as author Dara Horn and comedian Mendy Pellin. This 15-minute short was featured in Vareity and is currently in the festival circuit.
